Thursday 15 June through Saturday 17 June Flaneur Productions and Franklin Art Works are proud to be presenting the third annual Heliotrope festival of underground, underexposed and unusual music from the Twin Cities at Franklin Art Works from Thursday 15 June through Friday 17 June, 2006. In the past we have had the pleasure of bringing some of the most inventive and thought-provoking music in these cities to the cavernous Franklin performance space, and this year promises to be every bit as intriguing. Though representing a very wide array of styles and sounds, all of these musicians share the common characteristic of challenging themselves, their listeners and convention itself through a dedication to bringing forth their unique visions. Not one of these artists has pandered to trends or altered their course with any aims other than bringing their own creations to fruition, and the sincerity of their efforts has brought out some of the best sounds it has been our pleasure to hear. We hope you will enjoy them as much as we do. $10 per day or $20 for all three days Schedule: 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM each night
On all three evenings before and between sets, Greg Carr will be providing the collage of Echoplexed archival mayhem known as The Rimes Of The Ancient Mixmaster. |
